A Letter from Pastor Keating

Dear Friends in Christ,

It’s easy to feel discouraged, isn’t it? We’ve all been there. Life gets to us. We fall short. Sometimes we feel broken. Who knows how it happened, but one day we wake up feeling broken, hopeless, worried, or anxious.

Jesus tells us that, “I came that they may have life and have it abundantly!” At St. Mark, we believe that Jesus’s promises are for you. We gather together as his people so that we can be reminded of the abundant life, grace, and salvation that Jesus gives to us. Jesus died on the cross and, three days later, rose from the grave so that you would have hope in the midst of any and all of life’s circumstances.

Jesus’s life, death, and resurrection is proof that God cares for you. He sent His Son into the world for you. He is sending His Church for the same purpose; we are here for you. St. Mark is here so that you would trust in the plan that God has in store for each one of us. Jesus’s words are for you, and they are worth listening to. I hope you will be a part of what God has in store for St. Mark and for you as we join in prayer and praise as His community of faith firmly rooted in the abundant life of Christ.

No matter who you are, how you feel, or what you’ve been told: Christ Jesus is really, truly present as He cares for all of us through the gifts He freely gives. I pray that you will stop in to experience everything God has in store for us at St. Mark.
Yours in Christ,

Pastor Keating
